Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.- Penn Jillette

Y'know... before Chris, I was pretty much in your situation.. Jeff was hardly in trouble mostly because I felt guilty that his father wasn't around. Jeff will probably never get it until he has children of his own! We just try to get it into his common senseless head that it is teaching him to be a responsible adult because once you are on your own.... you are on your own! Even with that said he still thinks we are lunatics! I am just waiting for him to one day come to me and his dad and have him say Thank You!
Danny got a bit mouthy with me once, and I finally just did it...unplugged him completely. He calmed down and changed his tune, and didn't even stay pissed at me for very long. You could always start with something small like that! I mean, it couldn't really hurt, other than him possibly bellowing and/or complaining for a while.
