Sebastian and I were taking a walk up to 7-11 to get some snackage for tonight, and as many of you know, there are no sidewalks on our street.
This has been an issue for many years, it's dangerous, we almost get hit every time we need to go to the store or walk to a bus stop up at the corner.
But tonight, I almost got shot.
As we were nearing the corner, this little red 2 door Pontiac sports car comes speeding up the street, doing at least 60 in a 30, and he's laying on his horn. He comes within inches of hitting me and I'm walking on the edge of the road, the other side of the white line, almost in the grass.
So I do what I do when any kind of asshole comes up on us like that, I flipped him off so he could see it in his review mirror.
He sees the finger and whips his car into the parking lot of the corner store.
When we finally reach where he is, he opens his door and starts yelling at me.
I can't make out what he's saying, this is the busy intersection of Clark road, traffic is heavy, I can barely make it out, something about finger, sidewalks and cars.
I start walking towards his car so I can hear him, and he yells at me, "Don't you come walking up on my car! I'll fucking shoot you bitch!" and he reaches down under the passenger seat and gets his gun.
He's sitting in the seat, leg swung out, left hand pointing at me, gun in his right hand, and he's threatening to shoot me for coming up on his car.
I'm 5ft 8 inches tall, female, and in a neck brace.
I don't have my purse with me, my wallet is in my pocket, my hands are palm out facing him, it's clear, plainly fucking obvious, that I am absolutely zero threat to this asshat and his car.
I say back to him, "There are no sidewalks, that is where pedestrians have to walk. You were speeding. You laid on your horn, and came within inches of hitting me when the entire street was wide open for you, no other cars were on the street, you had plenty of room."
He starts at me again, "Come up on my car and I'll fucking shoot you!"
So I took another step toward his car.
This punk ass, pussy piece of shit whiter than white barely 25 year old motherfucker, swings his legs back in his car, slams the door, and speeds out of the parking lot.
There was a cop right at the intersection, so she saw him take off and the guy from inside the corner store come running out to me, so she pulls in and asks what happened.
I tell her, I gave a description of the guy, and they said they will be on the look out for him.
But come on, what kind of MAN, pulls a gun on a person with obviously no weapons, wearing a neck brace?
I'll tell you what kind.

Oh Kat. :/ That guy is a pussy. No real man would pull a gun on a defenseless person, especially a WOMAN, and someone who is obviously injured and has a child. That is absolutely despicable. Just despicable. :( I hope that the cops catch them!
What I don't get is why the hell the cop didn't call her units to go searching for this Pussy or go after him herself? She would have ample reason to pull him over... carrying a concealed weapon is one! Another example of why Sarasota's finest needs to be revamped!

I'm pretty sure it's a felony to display a lethal weapon an a threatening manner in the state of Florida. The difference is usually defined by what a REASONABLE person would consider life-threatening or dangerous. I'm pretty sure that in a court of law, he'd be screwed. I wonder if the store even has cameras in it's parking lot. Glad you're safe.
