Tv to internet?

|
I was told by some technically inclined friends on the local forums, that if I had a  vga cable with audio cord, that I would be able to connect the tv to the internet, and then I'd be able to watch stuff like youtube videos, on the tv,  and do other stuff on it too.
I know that we have widgets on the fios that allow us to use things like Twitter, although I haven't quite figured out how to use it yet.
I admit that it totally confuses me, but I would like to hook up the tv to the internet and be able to do stuff on it, Ive seen it hooked up at friend's houses, and it looks awesome.

Cool and fun.

One of the reasons that all of the half-siblings and Sebastian thinks it is so great to be at dad's house is because of how cool and fun he is, how much stuff he has, what he does.
He is a singer in a rock band, he has a lot of tattoos, he owns a tattoo shop, he plays on an airsoft (pellet guns) team and has all kinds of gun and gear that he lets the boys all play with, and he has, from what I have heard, has all of the latest game systems.

He has an Xbox 360, (we have that one) and Wii, and a playstation 3, and he has all of the coolest and latest and greatest games to go with them, so all of the boys can sit around and play video games all of the time and not be bothering each other because he has 3 different systems and a computer.

He gets to be the fun parent now that all of the hard work of raising them is over with.
All of the years of potty training, school stuff, field trips, bullies, lost teeth, nightmares, all of the hard parts about raising kids, it's all over with now that they are teenagers, he doesn't really have to do much, they are already used to going to school, they've lost all of their baby teeth, they pretty much don't have nightmares anymore, they are definitely potty trained, it's all done and taken care of so he gets to be the cool and fun parent, it's all fun and games there now.

Why lived with the parent who has rules, makes you do chores,, has some strict rules, when you can go live with the fun parent?

Decorating.

|
I love playing with my Sims in Sims 3, and now that I have added a better video card and upgraded from 2GB of memory to 4GB of memory, I can get the expansion packs at some point once I've paid off some bills and some other stuff that needs to be paid off by August 23, 201.

Anyway, I love playing with my Sims and one of the things I enjoy doing more than actually playing with the Sim people, is building and decorating houses.
I am really good at it if I do say so myself.
I LOVE building and decorating houses, I can get as wild and as crazy as I like making some houses perfect for my rockstar Sims, or I can make houses extremely elegant for other Sims.
I go all out too, I decorate every single room, I start in one room, and I don't move on to another room until that room is completely decorated, all the furniture in and in the perfect place and position, planst, paintings on the walls, windows, curtains that match the decorations and colors in the room perfectly.
I always start with the bathroom, and I decide what the color scheme is going to be, and I put in the toilet, and because in Sims 3 you can change the default colors and patterns to be any color and pattern that you like, I can even change the color of the toilet, and I usually do.
In one of my rockstar homes, the girl has an all purple colored and themed bathroom.
The toilet is a deep royal purple, the shower is dark lavender with very light pink trim, the sink is a medium purple with the same violet colored chrome faucets as the faucet and shower-head as the shower, the tiled floor is a mosaic with the colors of the toilet, sink, and shower.
I add the lighting next, and I change the lampshade and light fixtures to match the rest of the fixtures and items in the bathroom.

I do that same thing in every room, decide on the color and theme, and then work on the room, going over every inch of the room until it is absolutely perfect, and you know the room is perfect when you click on play and allow your Sim to see the house.
They will walk room to room, go to the items like plants and paintings, and either applaud or make an angry face, and in their mood mete, it will show a happy face along with a painting and a chair, and both items will have like a sparkle image on them, and when you hover over it, it says that your Sim loves their home and nice items, and this will keep them in a good mood when they are at home, and every time they walk into the house from being outside or at a downtown location, their mood mete instantly goes up.

Speaking of outdoors, I even decorate their whole property.
I start in the front yard and work my way around the whole property adding bushes, trees, swimming pools, lawn furniture, I get them an awesome car and park it in their driveway, and I also add lighting, and the game even has some lighting that just looks like brinkmann lights, so I place those to the outside of the house and some more lighting in the yard as well so they can have parties outdoors at night.
Have some friends over for a pool party, grill up some burgers, invite everyone to sit around the picnic table to eat, and then when it gets darker, sit around the fire pit and roast marshmallows.

I'm sure that you've all heard and or seen about the video by now, of all those little 7-8 year old girls dressed in hip hop clothes, and dancing, er, grinding, I mean dancing along to Beyonce's "All the single ladies"?
The video has been taken down on youtube, but you can still catch parts of it on the Washington Post website.
Wow, I mean, wow.
What the hell was the dance instructor thinking?
What the hell were the parents thinking by allowing their little, and I do mean little girls, to be a part of that routine and wear those clothes?!
I just have to wonder what the parents and dance instructors were thinking, why teach them to dance like that?
Why dress them like that?
They are little 7-8 year old girls dancing like professional strippers, all that's missing is the poles.
Seriously, it's stuff like this that makes me wonder what is wrong with people where they would think this was even remotely ok.

Teeth and tv stands.

|
I just had to put some Dentemp in my back tooth that has a huge gaping hole in it and needs dental care, but it can't be done.
Because of the way my head is stuck down, it prevents my jaw from opening fully, I can barely fit a spoon in my mouth, so a dentist getting his hands plus tools in there to rip it out, is impossible, I know this, I've accepted this.
So every few weeks when the Dentemp breaks down and falls out, I just replace it.
Each package of Dentemp has enough putty filling in it to replace a lost filling approximately 8 or more times, so I'm grateful that it's only around $4.00 depending on where I go to buy it.
After a few hours, I'll be able to eat again, it has to be let to harden up, usually takes about 3 hours at the most to set up properly.

I was in looking at Marks tv while they were playing a video game, it's a nice flat screen LCD HDTV, and it's sitting on an old wobbly table I have. I've had that bale for ages, the legs are super wobbly, si I was looking at www.standsandmounts.com to see what kinds of tables or other ways that I could set his tv up so that it would be more safe.
I would love to hang it on teh wall, but I don't think our walls are strong enough to hold a tv. I'd definitely have to get one of those stud finders to find a stud and try to place a mounting system on it so that it would be sturdier and hold the tv better.
I'm always looking for ways to improve the look and quality of my home, there's so many things that I would love to do to the house, I would love to make it look better in here, but for now, it's all just dreams, I can't really afford to do much in here.

Itchies and music.

|
I woke up with really bad hives again this morning, and I've figured out that it's something in my house because the whole 19 days that we were in Maine, I only got hives once.
In the weeks leading up to us leaving, and since getting back, I've had hives almost every single day.
It's definitely something in my house, but what?
Not a freaking clue.

I did figure out though that I can charge my little ipods-like mp3 player using a wall charger that came with another product that I have that uses a usb slot to charge that product.
Now, I can charge either that product or my mp3 player using either a usb port on my pc, or the wall charger.
I thought of it while I was sleeping, I'm surprised that I remembered to try it out when I woke up, I usually forget stuff like that.

Ideal cruise vacation?

|
I was asked what my ideal cruise vacation would be, and honestly, I don't ever think I'll go on a cruise for a couple of reasons.
One reason being money.
Cruises are usually pretty expensive unless you get like a major discount or if they are running a special cruise adventure, and if you take the super cheap rooms which I hear are very small.
Not liking small spaces, I don't think I could do a small room, so yeah, I would need a wicked lot of money so that I could afford one of the big rooms like a suite, not an interior room.
Those are way too small.
The second reason being that I am absolutely terrified of drowning.
I am a terrible swimmer, and I've also watched one too many movies about cruise ships sinking.
Movies like Titanic and Poseidon.
Yeah, scary stuff so I have this major fear of taking cruises.
And I know, that's totally crazy thinking, you never ever hear about cruise ships sinking, it's the stuff in movies, not reality, so I don't know why I have this fear, but I do.

But if I had the money and if I could make sure that the particular ship I'd be on had never had any accidents, fires, or other mishaps out on the big blue and very deep sea, I would probably be ok going on one of those Caribbean cruises.

halfmooncay.jpg

I've heard some nice things about Half Moon cay, so maybe I'd go there, or stop there as one of the ports of call that they go to.
It looks really nice, quiet, peaceful, and goodness knows that I could really use some nice and quiet, and peaceful relaxing time away from everything that's going on in my life right now.
So yeah, maybe there.
I dunno, maybe someday I'll work up the money and the courage to go on a cruise.
We were planning one about 9 years ago, we were all going to try and go to Atlantis, but our plans fell through after an old roommate stole all of the change out of my 10 gallon water jug that I was saving all of my change in for our trip.
There was almost $1,000 in that jug, and he took it all.
He went in my room while I was at work, and took all of the money out and left me a note, an IOU for the money.
He counted it up, or used one of those change machines, so the IOU said that he owed me $987.56.
He never did pay me back.

I hear from friends all of the time how much fun cruises are, and they tell me that I'd love it once I got on the ship and we were going, once I started doing all of the fun things they have on board, and I bet that would, I love doing all that fun stuff.
So yeah, maybe someday when I have the money I'll go and take a cruise.
I am pretty sure that I would really love it.
I know I would, I just have to do it some one of these days.

The Out Campaign: Scarlet Letter of Atheism

Believing there's no God means I can't really be forgiven except by kindness and faulty memories. That's good; it makes me want to be more thoughtful. I have to try to treat people right the first time around.- Penn Jillette
